Christie Brinkley Spent The Fourth Of July At Her Ex Billy Joel Home

Christie Brinkley, whose divorce battle with Peter Cook has been heating up in court, arrived with her daughter Alexa Joel, 20, to celebrate Independence Day holiday along with a dozen other guests at the New York home of her ex Billy Joel, who famously wrote the hit Uptown Girl in her honor.

"She was just blowing off some steam, being with family. It was just a relaxing little get-together. Nothing special. Just what everyone does on the Fourth." a friend of the supermodel's told People magazine.

Billy Joel married Christie Brinkley on March 23, 1985. Their daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, was born on December 29, 1985. Joel and Brinkley's marriage ended in divorce on August 25, 1994, after nine years of marriage, but the couple remains quite friendly.

Meanwhile, Cook spent the day with his son Jack and girlfriend Suzanne Shaw. After picking up Jack from Brinkley's house, the trio went for a ride on Cook's boat, The Sweet Freedom.
