Lindsay Lohan Pulls Her Name Out of Emmys Race

Lindsay Lohan, who made a guest appearance on the season finale of Ugly Betty in May, made her eligible to be nominated for the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series award.

But surprisingly she took a decision not to enter the Emmy race this year. "The appearance was brief," a rep for the star told the Los Angeles Times Tuesday. "We made a decision to wait."

Next season of the TV hit show Ugly Betty Lohan will appear in at least six episodes so she can increase her chances next year.

Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta told Us magazine "She was terrific – a pleasure," Horta said. "She came in early and was very pleasant."

Last week Katherine Heigl has taken herself out of the race for this year also "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention," Heigl told L.A. Times "In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials," she added.
