Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to a baby girl

Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge, daughter Maddie Briann, at 9:30 am CST, at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center.
According to a blog in the Los Angeles Times, the baby weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
Britney Spears has arrived at the Mississippi hospital where her sister Jamie Lynn is expected to give birth to her first child today Thursday.
Jamie is best known for starring in the Nickelodeon television series Zoey 101.
Last December, news broke that Jamie Lynn, star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101," was pregnant by boyfriend Casey Aldridge , a pipe-layer from Liberty, Mississippi.
Later in May it was reported that Jamie has delayed her wedding to Casey Aldridge.
Recently, Jamie, 17, lives with Aldridge, 19, in Liberty, Miss., where Jamie Lynn recently bought a home.
Lynne Spears's memoir, still to be published the publisher confirms to PEOPLE. The book, which is a memoir about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn, will be released this fall. "When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold," a spokesman for Thomas Nelson told People. "Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother's eyes."
